The 8th Edition of Advanced Materials World Congress held on March 30-31 in Rome, Italy was an inspiring event to learn about the research of others, some of whom were in closely related fields. The opportunity allowed for everyone to gather in a beautiful place to network and collaborate with fellow researchers. The event was well coordinated by the Peers Alley team and the team leaders were most gracious in assisting the participants. Regarding my professional development, the event was deeply enriching: it allowed me to validate that my research is on par with the other works presented, and I was able to gain several ideas that will contribute to the growth of my own study. They gave me ideas in my area of expertise and in addition to other subjects of science and I received food for thought for my future endeavours and work. Finally, the speakers were of high quality and their choice was careful and well considered. They were also from all parts of the world which helped have a more broad range of the worldview.
